Koh Chang is an amphoe (district) in Trat Province. Koh Chang is the second largest island in Thailand, after Phuket but is the best preserved and rich in natural resources.
From Bangkok to Koh Chang (Ao Thammachat pier), Distance is approximately 328 km. Jack Taxi Bangkok takes about 4-5 hours by Bangkok-Chonburi-Pattaya Motorway (Highway No.7) which is an extension of Rama 9 (Srinakarin) Road. This road will also lead you to Highway No. 344 (Ban Bueng- Klang) until arrive at Klang District and then join Highway No.3. Continue on through Khlung District Chantaburi Province and cross Weru Bridge until passes Khao Sming District and go straight on to downtown of Trat Procince.

Ferry Koh Chang
Ao Thammachat Pier or Ferry Koh Chang Pier is the largest pier which has been certified and licensed by domestice and overseas organizations, which guarantee quality and international safety standards for transportation only in Trat Province. Ferry Koh Chang is same as Ferry Koh Samui which use the large ferry that imported from Japan. Ferry is a service provider for about 300 passengers and about 40 cars with full safety equipment because Ferry Koh Chang Pier has been improved to more modern and have comfortable as well as full facilities on-board such as toilet, selling food & beverages selling and the fast ferry because location of Ferry Pier is at the narrowest part between Ao Sapparot on Koh Chang and the mainland of Trat at Ao Thammachat
